Default Schedule DTS Package - 01-12-2005 , 04:01 PM

Hello, I had created DTS Packages long time ago and they were working fine.
I never had any problem scheduling any of them. However, I can not schedule
any of the packages I created a while ago or the brand new ones. I receive
an error message and described below. Any help on this is highly appreciated.

Error message:

Package Error
Microsoft SQL-DMO (ODBC SQLState: 42000)
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Login failed for user
'(null)', Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection.

On SQL Server Console, I registered the server by using NT trusted connection.

Thanks,
Lianne

And how do you try to connect to SQL Server in the package?
Who owns the package?

I used trusted connection to registered SQL Server. The same user owns the
package. However, one thing I found out that the system allows me to
schedule the package only if I registered SQL Server as sa disregard who the
owner is.

Thanks,
Lianne

The account under which you registered the server has little to do with
things.

It is all about who owns the job and what role they play on the server.
Based on this the job executes under the guise of a different user.
