Default Saving View to Linked Database Table - 01-18-2005 , 04:23 PM

I am having a heck of a time SAVING a View when using a LINKED Database Table.
From Enterprise Mgr, I create new View, Add the Tables or Views, also
dragging a View from a Linked Database Table and Run it, it works fine. When
I try to SAVE that I get an Error Message of:
------------------------------
The operation could not be performed because the OLE DB provider 'SQLOLEDB'
was unable to begin a distributed transaction.
[OLE/DB provider returned message: New transaction cannot enlist in the
specified transaction coordinator. ]
OLE DB error trace [OLE/DB Provider 'SQLOLEDB'
ITransactionJoin::JoinTransaction returned 0x8004d00a
-------------------------------

I searched Technet for the 0x8004dooa and talked about DTS not bing on,
which they are on both machines and the weird part is I can run the SQL, just
can NOT Save it as a new VIEW.

Help and Thanks...

Where does DTS come into this?

Is your MSDTC Service running?
What happens if you try and save this in a tool such as Query Analyser?
