Default Running DTS from the server AND client - 07-08-2003 , 04:55 AM

Does anyone have problems with the following on SQL
Server7...

1. Password-protect DTS packages, then discovering the
same password cannot open the DTS packages again

2. Saving a DTS package on the server with creator being
administrator. Then trying to open it on the client (with
administrator right) fails
- is there a way of saving DTS packages on ANY computer
(using administrator accounts - NT(authen) or SA) and
being abled to maintain them on ANY computer too?

Thks.

Thks Allan for replying.

The error message:

Password specified does not match the owner or operator.

I create and maintain the same package on the server only using the
admin account (not from client)

Cheers.

Make sure the package password is what you think it is and that you are
typing what you thought you typed. I know you have most probably done this
already but I cannot see/have never heard of applying a [ackage password to
a password and it not recognising it again on opening.

Does this package open on the place you created it using the same password ?

Is there any difference in SQL Server version + SP between the different
PCs/Servers

In sql2000 we have created packages with sql login (for
instance sa) saved it in local folder and then opened and
modified them on a client with the same login .

We got some problems when creating packages with NT
login , save it in Meta data services and then tried to
see them with sql login.

I don't know if it works on SQL Server7
