Default Run an Access macro__ - 12-13-2004 , 10:31 AM

Hi.
I was wondering if you can run an Access macro in DTS?
The macro does a "Output To" command for some daily reports. These files
are used to in another program to be emailed.
I just need to be able to schedule to run the Access macro that creates a
..SNP file.
Thanks,
Lynn.

Any Ideas are welcomed.

This doesn't seem like a good idea, but of course can be done. Some
discussions on the matter from the group archive

Darren.
Okay - the thrends you sent state this is a bad idea.

So I have to have a user to run the macro daily that creates the report
snapshots.

Should I go to the Access newsgroup to see if anyone knows how to automate
the macro?

Lynn.

Yep, I don't think it is particularly good idea, and an Access group
might be a worthwhile as they do more Access than people who hang out
with SQL and DTS a lot.

However I believe there where at least two solutions covered in those
threads, using the command line and object automation, so maybe you
might want to check them out as well?
