Default Row Count Question - 03-11-2005 , 07:19 AM

Hi all.
I want to report the row counts for adds, changes, and deletions that occur
in several stored procedures. I have a stored proc that's invoked by an
ExecSQLTask, and global variables set up to pass the row counts from the
ExecSQLTask to a reporting ActiveX script. But the rowcounts aren't set in
the global variables. The function runs fine as long as I don't have an
INSERT, UPDATE, or DELETE statement in the sproc. Add any of these
statements, and the updates to the global variables stops working.

I've tried all sorts of variations, and I need any help I can get... Your
thoughts?
TIA, George

Assuming you are using the result set output variable scheme then try adding
SET NOCOUNT at the top.
