Default Restore and execute DTS package - 11-23-2005 , 03:07 PM

Hello.

We recently upgraded out cleint's SQL Server box by installing brand new
hard drives. Before we took out the old hard drives, I saved all DTS
packages by file format (and of course made a back up of the database).
After placing the new hard drives and installing the Enterprise Manager, I
restored the database. I also restored DTS package by Open Package option
and found the file that I saved, saved this package with the original
name. But when I tried to execute this package, an error occurred.

However, when I saved this original package with a different name, clicked
on parts of the DTS package not making any changes, click on the Save button,
then it ran just fine.

Is this a known problem? Was there something that I should've done to
prevent this issue?

Thank you!

There is no know issue, well not one I know of.

For this type of scenario I would have done a full restore, all system
and user databases. The key one for DTS is msdb, but either way it
should not be a problem if you have access to the package through
whatever route.

What is the error?
