Default Remote editing of DTS packages - 01-28-2004 , 09:54 AM

I can create DTS packages on my PC to be stored on another server, but
I then try to open it to edit it, the DTS Package editor opens, but
with no toolbars, menus and DTS tasks - just an empty white box.

My client PC is WinXP, the server is Win2k and the database SQL2000
SP3

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks

Adam

Is this when you try to open the packages from the PC on which you created
them? Or is it on the server itself. Remember DTS is client side so event
though the packages are stored on Server A, when you open them they are on
the client PC.

Alan,

Sorry I took so long to get back...

I create them on a PC, and store them on the server. I can edit them
on the server, but not on the PC I created them on.

Regards

Adam
