Personally I would start with Mr Kimball's books.

The Data Warehouse Lifecycle Toolkit
The Data Warehouse ETL toolkit.

I would have a look for articles on star and snowflake schemas.

What makes up your warehouse will depend to a large degree , certainly for
the fact table, on what you are trying to model.
