Hi All, I've got the "Redistributing DTS with your program" (from: http://www.sqldts.com/default.aspx?6,105,225,0,1 - thanks Darren) printed out and in front of me. A couple of questions: 1. Is the ApplicationDirectory the root folder of "my" application? For example... "C:\Program Files\FredsDTSApp"? 2. If the answer to #1 is "Yes", then what might happen if I register DLLs that are already on the system (in the ApplicationDirectory or Windows System folder(s)) in the case where MSSQL Client Tools are already installed? To sum it up: I'm concerned of the possibility of messing up our clients MSSQL server installation (who wouldn't - right?). I will outwardly admit that I'm not familiar enough with the registry and registering duplicate files on the same machine located in different folders to go for it with blind faith (not knowing what could potentially occur and this is the place to ask)! Thanks in advance! Kind regards - Fred |
