Hi Hugo,

I think the following action plan may help you out on this problem. Please
understand that this is what I think might help the situation and this may
very well not resolve the problem.

1. Login with an user that has local administrator rights in the computer
(SQL
Server)
2. Check that SQL Server is not registered using the IP address in SQL
Server
Management Studio
3. Verify if the results of this command:
Select @@server_name
Return a SQL Server name that is the same as the HOST computer name
4. Create a new simple SSIS package with single SQL Task. This task query's
from
one of the user tables.
5. Execute the SSIS in SQL Server BI Studio to verify that is works
6. Login in SQL Server Management Studio as SA
7. Deploy the SSIS package to SQL server
8. Create a NEW job (owner = SA)
9. Create a NEW Schedule (owner = SA)

Try to run the JOB

If it fails again then :

==>Test to create/schedule the job from a workstation that has SQL 2005
tools
installed and let me know the outcome. Does it work?
==> Is this specific to only SSIS jobs? Is the problem only for this SSIS
job or any
new SSIS jobs?
==> Does it matter who you're logged in as - for exampe can admins view
properties
fine but non-admins cannot?
==> From the error we have, it does not look like the error is when
specifying the
job schedule. It looks like the error is seen when trying to edit the job
step
properties for an SSIS job. Please confirm.
==>Is this a 32 bit or 64 bit machine?
==> Does it matter where SSIS pkg is stored, if on file system or in msdb?

==> Collect a Backup of regkey: HKCR\CLSID

==> Check if these DLL's are present and/or registered:
- C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\DTS\Binn\MsDtsSrvrUtil.dll
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\90\DTS\Binn\DTSLog.dll

==>Is this a 32 bit or 64 bit machine?
==> Does it matter where SSIS pkg is stored, if on file system or in msdb?

==> Collect a Backup of regkey: HKCR\CLSID

==> Check if these DLL's are present and/or registered:
- C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\DTS\Binn\MsDtsSrvrUtil.dll
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\90\DTS\Binn\DTSLog.dll
