This is a weird one, and I don't know exactly what is causing it.

I've created a FTP Task, which I get a database backup from an FTP server.
The file is about 4MB. I selected my download directory (which is a
network
share, \\myserver\mydir), entered all my ftp information, and selected the
file I want to download. I've tried this with both with the "overwrite"
box
checked and unchecked, it deletes the file either way.

The task downloads the file, then (and the only way I know this is because
i'm hitting refresh on the filesystem) the file quickly reverses, and I
see
the size shrinking, eventually it gets deleted within a matter of seconds.

Needless to say, this is pretty annoying, almost seems like a bug. I have
SQL Server 2000 Enterprise. Any help would be most appreciated!

Michael

Which service pack do you have installed.
This sounds like a bug that was fixed with sql server sp1.
You should have sp3 installed o rthe hot fix for the slammer worm.

Remember dts is a client app.
