What kind of step is it?
Is it when you close the updated step or save the package?
When you save the step the designer will check the connections to make
sure that the objects can be resolved - it is probably saying that
something is depending on this code you have inserted and it cannot run
it to check the dependancies.

If it is when you save the step then I guess you are trying to save in
msdb. This is a bit strange if you are trying to save a package you have
just read from that location. Maybe your user is missing some
permissions?
