The new DTS in SQL Server 2005 is hugely, to the point of being completely,
different.

The way you call packages has also changed incredibly.

By the new MSDE i presume you mean the recently released Express Edition?

If == Yes then this does not to the best of my knowledge come with DTS. You
will have to wait for its big brother.

I use DTS in my VB.NET applications extensively and I was wondering if any
of the members has tested VS 2005 along with the new MSDE and has noticed
any changes in the way VB programmers have to handle DTS packages.

Thanks for responding to my inquiry, Allan.
I remember having consulted www.sqldts.com in the past quite extensively )
Now, what I want to know is whether those "Runtime Callable Wrapper" days for DTSpkg.dll are definitely gone?

Thanks a mil,
Saeed

DTS is completely rewritten in managed code so i think you will be
pleasantly suprised.
