Any Rhyme or reason?
Can you have the packages log to text file and see if we can get a better
error

Do you use any VB component (home grown or the OLAP task)?

"-2147352567 is the error number VB uses for a passed in error that it does
not understand. Basically, it means some method in some object failed to
work properly but VB does not know what, where or why."

Do the packages work individually?

OK, here we go...

Platform: SQL Server 7.0 on Windows NT 4 SP6a

I have several DTS packages scheduled to run from one Agent Job. The
packages are all accessing the same data source. Some of my packages will
complete while others give the following error. Does anyone have any
suggestions as to my problem?
Quote:
DTSRun: Loading... Error: -2147352567 (80020009); Provider Error:
0 (0) Error string: Exception occurred. Error source:
Microsoft Data Transformation Services (DTS) Package Help file:
sqldts.hlp Help context: 705. Process Exit Code 1. . NOTE: The step
was retried the requested number of times (2) without succeeding. The step
failed.

right

Actually, I stopped and re-started the SQL Server service and the problem
stopped.

I suppose this is equivalent to Start ~ Shut Down ~ Reboot!
