It's seems that the preferred way to perform HTTP transfers in DTS is
by writing an ActiveX task and using one of the MSXML COM objects.

Why isn't a simple task provided for this? It's not so much different
than having an FTP task. And it looks like SQL Server 2005 doesn't have
this task either.

Just interested in knowing whether there was a reason for MS not
bundling one with DTS.
