Default Problems with embedded text qualifiers using Flat File Connection - 11-26-2006 , 03:24 AM

Hi everyone,

I am using a flat file connection within my SSIS package to importing a .csv
file containing double quotes (") as a text qualifier. The problem is, that
some rows contain not only strings like "test" but also strings like "test".
Debugging the project results in the error : The column delimiter for column
.... was not found. At design time I also get the warning that the flat file
connection does not support embedded text qualifiers.

In general I know what the problem is but how can I get around this? With a
SQL Server 2000 DTS package I didn't run into any problems importing the same
text file but 2005 seems to have a problem.

Thanks for your help.

Sorry, didn't want to put this one in again. Please read my question dated
11/25/2006, that's the right one.

Thanks
