I've gotten, thanks to Allan and others, much of my SSIS migration
underway. I was initially using a flat file to OLE DB Destination Data
Flow Task to take data from a flatfile source to a bulk insert, I dont
really do anything to the data on the way in so I thought it would be
faster.

But I'm getting conversion errors and I'm a bit stumped on how to
resolve them. When I try to test the bulk insert, I get the error
(type mismatch or invalid character for the specified codepage)


How do I determine the codepage and DataFileType for my flatfile? From
my perspective its just a file in a folder within a windows server
operating system.

Can anyone point to some references that might help?
