Default Paradox Tranform Problem With SQL Server DTS - 05-19-2004 , 06:25 PM

We are using DTS for data migration from Paradox5X and Text to SQL Server
database with SQL Server 2000 version 5, build 2195 Service Pack 4
under Windows 2000 5.00.2195 Service Pack4.

Text files worked fine, however, we got a problem with Paradox5X with
the error message as follows:

"Error Source: Microsoft JET Database Engine"
"Error Description: The Microsoft Jet database engine could not find
'TableName'. Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name
and the path name correctly."
"Cotext: Error calling OpenRowSet on the provider."

We are sure that TableName, path, spelling are correct.

Thank you for your help.

The problem was due to Paradox Database Engine missing
on the machine. After installation of BDE (Borland
Database Engine) which contained Paradox Database
Engine, DTS function for transformation from Paradox
table files to SQL Server tables is fine.
