Default Package executes as expected inside designer, but not from DTSRunU - 10-03-2005 , 03:56 PM

[SQL2000 Windows 2003 ]
I have a package that exports a bunch of data files. For some reason, while
I am in the DTS Designer, the package executes correctly - in that it creates
files in the specified directory. However, if I run the same package from
DTSRunUI, it appears to run fine, but the files are never created in the
directory.

I am at wits end as to why this is? The DTS Designer is running frm the
same machine that is running DTSRunUI and this is the sql server that has the
package stored on it, so I don't think this is a security thing.

Any ideas?

Brandon

If you are actually sat at the same machine, the server itself, to test all
this, it doesn't make a lot of sense. Try turning on all the logging options
and compare the logs.
