I need to download data from Sybase 12 to SQL server database hosted on Windows 2000 server. I am using DTS, and I have problems with the ODBC driver (at least I think it is the ODBC driver)

The problem is that the "Transform data task" seem to hang when i work in the design pane. Quite often the task refuses to show transformations, refuses to accept changes in the SQL statement etc. Enterprise manager then hangs and I usually have to kill it ( ctrl-alt-del) after one or two minutes or so. The problems seem to arise when the length or complexity of the sql statement in the first pane of "Transform data task" exceed some limits

I have downloaded an evaluation version of Datadirect 4.2 Sybase Wire protocol that works a lot better. At least I am able to establish all taskt in the DTS design pane without any hang situation. The problem with this driver is the price charged for a server version

Can anyone recommend any other low cost odbc driver that works well with DTS and Sybase 12
