I am unable to add a transform task to my DTS packages. Recently I started
to get an 'access denied' popup window the first time I opened my packages.
The package goes ahead and opens and looks ok and I can run it but I can't
add a new transform task. My method is to add the two connections, then
highlight both and right click and then select the 'transform data task' but
when I do this it doesn't create the task. Also... there are no task icons
in the task tool bar or task entries (other then register/unregister) in the
task tool bar. It almost seems like its having trouble defining the standard
tasks when I first start it up. Any suggestions?

INitially to me it sounds as though you may have had something trample on
the DTS dlls. Have a read of this article and see if it helps in your
