Hello. I need to import an EDI TS-130 file (that contains academic transcript information) into SQL Server 2000 via a DTS. Under "Data Source", what should I indicate? Do I need a third party tool? Thanks. |

DTS does not support EDI natively. You probably need a full product, used to be known as an "EDI translator" when I last worked with EDI, but maybe there is someone selling an OLE-DB provider for EDI these days. An OLE-DB provider could then be coupled into a DTS package, as it would add a new connection type option for you. -- Darren Green (SQL Server MVP) DTS - http://www.sqldts.com PASS - the definitive, global community for SQL Server professionals http://www.sqlpass.org |

Thanks, Darren. Do you by any chance know of any OLE-DB providers for EDI? Thanks. |

No, but as I've never looked, I just thought there may well be... -- Darren Green (SQL Server MVP) DTS - http://www.sqldts.com PASS - the definitive, global community for SQL Server professionals http://www.sqlpass.org |
