Default mmc.exe exception while opening dts package - 09-21-2004 , 03:10 PM

I have mmc.exe application error
"the instruction at "0x42d93767" references mempry
at "0x00000000". etc
in debugger
Unhandled exception in mmc.exe (STARDDS.dll): 0xC0000005:
Access Violation

while I try to open new DTS package or any saved .dts
files. All dts packages saved on server open as empty
package.
I have installed HotFix KB Article Number(s): 830773
Still have the same error.

It started after I have uninsalled J++ from this box.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Then perhaps removing that has caused something essential to DTS to go west as
well.

I would

Reregister the DTS dlls
Reinstall MDAC

Larissa,

Allan's suggestion is a good one. If that doesn't work, you could try
reinstalling the particular ODBC or OLE DB drivers you are using.

Jonathan

It depends on what drivers you are using in your packages. (Are you only
using SQL Server? Loading from text files? Etc).
