Default MailTask Attachmentproblem - 01-15-2004 , 02:49 AM

Hi

I have a strange problem and I don't know where to start looking.
When I attach a file to the sendmail block everything seems fine, but when
I get the file i the mail it has included the path in the filename!!

"c:\somefolder\testfile.txt" becomes csomefoldertestfile.txt

someone knows about this problem. It is running on 2000 sp4 and sql 2000
8.00.760 .

regards,
Michael

Hi Allan

Thanks for the quick response. It works fine on my computer to, but not on

the productioncomputer. I see now that it does not have W2000 sp4 and am

trying to apply that on the server to see if that helps.

I write the path directly in attachment field in the sendmailblock under

these tests.

regards

Michael

Hi again.

I tried everything from updating Win2000 to Outlook and reinstalled sp3 on
sql. Nothing worked. I still got the wrong filename in my attchments. The
solution was to reconfigure my outlook settings to "only internet" and then
it worked. But by doing that I stopped using MAPI Profiles in the way the
SQL-server requires, so now I have to have outlook opened at all time to
send the mails from the server. That is not a problem as long as it works.

Michael
