Default Job shows success, but DTS Package never runs - 02-02-2006 , 04:32 PM

This may be a bug in SQL 2000 - If the c drive runs out of space, a job that
calls a DTS package will show success even though the package log shows that
the package never even started.

It could be that it caused the tempdb to run out of space - not my design to
put tempdb on a small c drive. This happened on another server I inherited a
couple of weeks ago, but I see that tempdb is on another drive and I can't
remember if I moved it there after this problem.

I know it's tempting to blame tempdb, but DTSRun.exe resides on the c drive
and maybe it needs some temp space.

Anyway, since I didn't see any info out there about this issue, I decided to
post this.
