Default Issues with text file load - 10-01-2003 , 12:17 PM

'~' delimited file. 365000+ rows. Sql7sp4. Win2k.

I keep getting the 'Column Delimiter Not Found' error
message after about 41000 rows (I researched that issue
and was informed to apply the latest service pack - no
change there). I tried loading the data into Access...it
errors out at about the same point. The only way to
successfully load the data is to use the odbc ms text
driver...it literally takes about 2 hours for this to
complete. This is after I've removed any type of logic
or activex work on the data load. I am not sure how else
to get this to run faster.

There are NO manipulations on the date during the load -
straight column copying here.

Any other ideas on where to look or what to try to simply
load this data up. I will use sql to dress it out once
it loads...its just getting it into a table under 30
minutes that I need to do.

Thank you for your time.
