Default Importing a file with 2117 characters... - 08-05-2004 , 01:44 PM

Hello, all. I'm trying to import a fixed-length file with
2117 characters. When defining my source file, SQL only
reads up to the 2064th character. I can't move the red
vertical line (the end of line marker) when on the "Fixed
Field Column Properties" screen, beyond that.

What gives?

Thanks
Roz

Roz,

That perhaps the first row (or one of rows) is 2064 characters? I just
created a file with 10000 characters in a row and the red line was at 8000
character mark, which is reasonable since a table character field allows for
up to 8000 length.
