Default Importing an Excel 2003 spreadsheet to MS SQL Server 2000 - 06-21-2004 , 04:07 PM

MS SQL Server 2000 doesn't seem to recognize an Excel 2003
spreadsheet. What type of file should the Excel 2003
spreadsheet be in order for it to be imported into MS SQL
Server 2000 by the Data Transformation Service (DTS)?

I just tested this without a problem, and I wouldn't expect it to be as the
binary file format for Excel has not changed [significantly] since Excel 97.
Are you sure you've got a binary Excel file and not, for example, an Excel
XML file, or some other variant? What error message did you receive?

That's right, MS SQL Server 2000 understands Excell 2003 spreadsheet.

Please check that you have initial database structure.
