Hi Charles, Please bear with me and I am new to sql server 2005. Currently I have sql server 2005 upgrade advisor on my personal computer. So I need to install sql server 2005 standard edition on my personal computer in order to develop a ssis package, right?(of course, I will ask dba to install the SSIS service on our remote database server) Does that mean after I instal sql server 2005 standard edition, when I open visual studio 2005, I can see Business Intelligence Projects? I just don't know what software I should have then I can see Business Intelligence Projects in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005. If I installed certain .net start kits which have sql server 2005 express edition included in the start kits, will it impact on my installation of sql server 2005 standard edition? thanks. -- Betty "Charles Wang[MSFT]" wrote: Hi Betty, SSIS component is included in SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition. If you want to develop a SSIS package, you should also install the SSIS service on your server. After that, you can find a project type named "Integration Services Project" under "Business Intelligence Projects" in your Visual Studio 2005 project wizard. Since there are many contents regarding SSIS, it is hard to explain it in a detail view. There are many video resources in the article mentioned in my last response.
