Hello dj,
How are they stored?
If they are stored as structured storage files then there is no real pressing
need to convert them as the Execute DTS 2000 Package task is great at executing
them. If they are in an MSDB backup then restore this DB as something else
and then pump sysdtspackages to the stsdtspackages in msdb on your 2K5 box.
They should now appear in \Legacy\Data transformation Services

We have a new machine with a fresh install of SS2k5.
I restored some DBs from existing SS2k machines, but I need some of
the
old DTS pkgs.
I've seen posts about migrating and KBs about restoring the msdb from
one machine to another as a mean of moving the pkgs, jobs, etc., but
these are not viable options for me. Which leads to question: how
does get existing pkgs over to a new machine?
TIA,
