Default How can I see if a scheduled DTS has run ? - 07-07-2006 , 08:40 AM

Howdy,

I scheduled a DTS task to run daily at 3 PM.
How can I see this has been done ? Is there a place you can see when the
last run happened ?

I used the Import Data Wizard in SQL Server Enterprise Manager, clicking All
Tasks with the RMB,
then following all steps (from where to where, etc...) I asked to schedule
the import of the data on every day
at 3 PM, without an enddate, I aksed to save this as/my DTS package.
Now I can see my dts package in the Enterprise Server.

In Enterprise Manager select 'Management' --> SQL Server Agent --> Jobs

You shold see the scheduling Job with the name of your package, right-click
on the Job --> 'View Job history'

Aha, there it is .... that's good news. Thanks !

I can also see my Job didn't run and why, it looks as if I don't have access
rights to run a Job,
but that's something I'll have to discuss here in the plant. It's not a
technical issue I can see, but Company Policy.

Nothing to do with SQL server, but y'r name sounds Italian,
so if you are I immagine you had a wonderful time yesterday seeing Italy win
the World Championship of Soccer.
Congrats. I'm glad, since I have family in Calabria, Southern Italy.
