We have a DTS package that fully rebuilds all the dimension for our Sales
cube. We execute the package from a SQL job. However, on some days the
rebuild dimensions step takes 1hr to execute and then terminates without a
failure status. This in turn kicks off the cube process which simply hangs
for many hours until we come in to rectify it. We have to restart the
Analysis Server service in order to release the cube.

When we try to incrementally update the dimension then it errors. It is
because an Attr in the dimension is changed and it reckons that the member
already exists. However, we don't understand why if in the DTS package its a
fullrebuild does it not run properly.

Is this a bug in DTS, has anyone experienced this.
