Default FTP connection credentials for scheduled job? - 05-11-2006 , 09:05 AM

Hi,
I'm using SQL2005 SSIS designer to create a package that contains an FTP
task. I can set the FTP Connection properties in the designer okay and
manually run my package, but when I create as a scheduled job on SQL 2005 it
fails with "-1073573489,0x,Unable to connect to FTP server using "FTP
Connection Manager".

I'm assuming the package does not retain the user name and password I put in
the designer's FTP Connection Manager Editor.

Can someone explain how to retain such credentials for a job? How to create
an external properties file perhaps that has the login info? Searching for
similar posts, besides the SSIS designer FTP Connection properties, there is
mention of programmatically setting password properties -- however, I am not
a C# or .NET programmer and am hoping for an easier solution.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Thank you,
Thomas

Nevermind, all. I figured it out . . . . I setup connection properties in a
configuration table.
