# of fixed fields limit?

Is there a # of fixed fields columns limit on a text file source in a
DTS package? I have a file that has around 200 fixed fields?

I even question whether or not I can create a SQL table with 200
columns?

Have you tried it? You might be surprised as it should work fine. The
limit on # of columns per table is 1024 by the way.
