Default Finding a file from ActiveX script - 05-15-2004 , 01:42 PM

I am trying to find a file on the local HDD using VBScript. I won't know
the path in advance. I'll have to find the file and open it without
knowing the path first. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks,

Gerald

You can adapt this article to do what you want

Find an Access Database (from anywhere on the file system)

Thanks, Allan. Actually, I found your suggested article yesterday and
did just what you advised. Several times, I tried to post a reply to my
own post to let everyone know that I had solved the issue. However, the
website wouldn't let me post responses, and still won't. Ergo, I am
posting a new message altogether.

Thanks,

Gerald
