Default Filename 8.3 for DTS DBase 5 export ? - 09-02-2003 , 05:53 AM

Hi !

When I try to create a DBase 5 file within the DTS package, then I get a
truncated filename that fits the 8.3 filename specification. The strange
thing is that the package is running fine on one server (with long
filenames) and with this limit on another one. Why there are thes
differences ? What can I do to enable long filenames for DBase - files ?

Thanks and regards,

Thorsten

Hi,
You cant use long files for Dbase 5. Even if you can... you will have
problems when you are using the file in dbase.
