Default Exporting multiple Text Files - 12-11-2003 , 03:18 PM

Hi All,

I am trying to write a dts package that will allow me to export
multiple text files from sql server based on teh results from a table.

So i have a table called people that contains all the records i need
to export into multiple files. I have another table called province
that contains all of the provinces.

I need to write a package that will iterate through the province table
and export all the records that meet that particualr critiria.

Any ideas?

Thanks
~Thomas

I'm not that clear on what the driver is, but if you want to produce
multiple files you can either -

Have multiple tasks

Or

Re-use a single task

The re-use means that the table and file structures have to be the same.
You can drive this off a recordset as well. Hopefully this article will
illustrate the Recordset and loop concepts, and you just plug in a
DataPump task instead-

How to loop through a global variable Rowset
