Export Image column

We are storing text and pdf format file in image column and reteriving
successfully from java, I need to detach the column value as text file and
wondering how do export binary data as text file.
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for your help, it worked for.
Can we specify custom column and rowterminator while exporting the file?
