Default Export to Excel losing primary key data for some records - 07-02-2003 , 12:19 AM

I am attempting to export various tables to Excel 2000 -
however am finding that some of the table records are
losing their key field data - and are not being exported
to Excel.

The key field is an auto inc field, and is clearly visible
in the SQL database. In one table all the keys are missing
(table only has 4 records). In another table records 1 to
55 have their keys, while 56 to 80 are missing their auto
inc key fields - then records 81 to 98 have their
keys...quite strange.

The same records consistently do not have their keys
exported. In SQL these records appear normal.

If I try exporting the table as a flat file - all the keys
are exported correctly. The problem only occurs when
exporting to Excel.

Is this a bug or is there a solution?

Hello,

I've never been confronted to this situation. The reverse
one, however, has been described here
http://www.sqldts.com/default.aspx?6,222,254,0,1
better then what I could add.
Hope it helps (in case I encounter it, I'd like to know :-
))
