Default Error running the package from CMD line using dtexec - 06-19-2008 , 04:28 PM

Hi:

I am getting an error when running the package from cmd line using dtexec,
however, it rund fine using Execute Package Utility.

In the package I set the path of the checkpoint file dynamically from
variables. When running from command line, I am getting this error "The file
name is not valid. The file name is a device or contains extra characters."

Does anyone know why this is happening.

Can you post your File path and name.. however here is the thing you
can check for now.
The File path doesnt take space while in command line.. e.g. e:
\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\ will be
e:\"Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\" also is you are using a
Mappped Drive location, sometime you need to recreate the mapped drive
or use the \\servername\share$\location insted of e:\location and also
check for spaces...
