Hello, I've this problem (SQL2K SP3a)
A DTS process that has been running for 3 o 4 month, yertarday didn't run. It invokes OLAP tasks, such the process of dimensions
In the event log there was this message
"dtsrun.exe - Application error : The instruction at XXXXX referenced memory at YYYYYY. The memory could not be "written"

Do you know what is happening ???

Okay, lets start from here:

This article says that the DTSRun.exe utility may cause an access
violation (AV) when a Data Transformation Services (DTS) package is
executed with the following conditions:
The DTS package is executed on a SMP computer with a minimum of four
processors.
The DTS package has multiple steps that are run concurrently.
The steps share a single connection.
Two or more of these steps complete at exactly the same time.
