In SQL 2000, is it possible to edit or create DTS packages without Enterprise
Manager? I know I can create a temporay package with the Import/Export wizard
and then save the package. But I would like to edit a package without using
Enterprise Manager to launch the tool. Currently, I launch the tool by right
clicking "Data Transformation Services" in Enterprise Manager, and selecting
"New Package" or "Open Package" from the context menu. Is there another way?

You would have to open the package using the object model and manipulate
it then as in the current release there is only one GUI for a DTS
package and that is EM.
