Default Dynamic transformations - 01-02-2006 , 09:08 AM

Hello,
Can anybody help me with dynamic transformation mapping? I have a
various Excel files I need to import into SQL tables. I created a DTS
that checks a specified directory and load Excels into db. DTS has 2
global variables for the source file and the destination table. It
works fine if all files have the same columns, but unfortunately they
are not. Is there a way to re-create mapping for every file I want to
load? Does anybody have an example how to do it? Any help is greatly
appreciated.

Hello pomarina,

I have a package which will get you a lot of the way there. it will show
you how to tear down the transformations in a DataPump task and the rebuild
them from scratch.

Ping me offline if you want it.

Allan
