Default DTS vs. Upsizing Access97 to SQL server 2000 - 05-20-2004 , 09:01 AM

I have many access 97 databases I am trying to put into
SQL. From what I can find, Upsizing the database seems to
be less work in the long run, but I get the "overflow
error", microsoft has an article on this, which says to
use SQL server 7, then convert it into 2000. I do not have
a copy of SQL server 7. Is upsizing a lost cause? should I
just use DTS? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

My personal preference is to use DTS. Upsizing always seems to blow up in
strange places for me. And...while in development I frequently wind up
refreshing data via the packages from teh Access source tables. Easier to
executea DTS package than re-run the wizard.
