Hi All,

Now, I am facing a problem that related to remote execute the DTS package.
The situation is as follows :-

First , I create a local package and it could execute successfully in its
own machine. Then, I export it to a structure file package and copy it to
another machine. After, I use the DTSRun to execute it in the another
machine and it works fine. But the problem is, when I delete the local
package in the orginial machine, it fail to execute. What is the problem of
it?

Remember that DTS is local to the box that says "run". Everything is relative to that box. From where are you executing the
package?

From the remote machine to call DTSRun to execute that Structure file

It works fine if the local package in the local machine but it doesn't work

OK I am lost as to where everything is now.

You have a Wkstn and a package - together they work
You cope the package as a structured storage file to a server.
You go to the server itself and execute DTSRUN pointing to the file on
the Server not the file on the Wkstn.
It fails to execute. What do you mean by fails to execute? Errors?

Do you have SQL Server (or at the minimum the DTS dlls) on the server?
