Default DTS Perfromance - 04-21-2004 , 06:54 AM

Hi All

I am trying to track down some information regarding DTS
performance and best practices when performing a data
pump from SQL Server to Oracle 9i. I am specifically
looking at the maximum throughput achievable by DTS and
any documentation available on how to use DTS to ensure
the maximum possible throughput is achieved between SQL
Server and Oracle. Any tips, pointers or articles anyone
can provide would be appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.

Typically I have seen mention that the drivers between Oracle and SQL Server
are perhaps not the fastest. A lot of people i see doing this export to
text file first then use SQL Loader on Oracle
