Default DTS packages no longer running after upgrade - 07-15-2004 , 09:55 PM

Hi,

We installed MDAC 2.8 over the weekend, and now all the
DTS jobs that execute packages no longer run.

Jobs that run SQL statements or execute Operating System
commands have not been affected.

I can't find any flaw the login / password. The SQL Server
process is started by user SQLADMIN - who also owns all
the jobs.

Here's the error msg -
Executed as user: COMP\SQLADMIN. DTSRun: Loading...
Process Exit Code 1. The step failed.

Help !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks

Can you manually execute the packages on the server?
There used to be problems with MDAC after a package had been saved on a
higher version and was being run on a PC with a lower version.

I would try opening the packages
Try running them manually
Save them back

You will need to regenerate the ~/Z string if you are using that when
calling the package from the job (DTSRUNUI)
