I am attempting to debug the "number of failing rows
exceeds the maximum specified" error on an xpp sp2 client
with client tools with sp3a.

The DTS package copies rows from an excel document into a
mssql db. I dont want to format the system, but have
loaded client tools on another clean system with the same
OS and service packs and the DTS package functions as
designed. I have uninstalled and re-installed client
tools on the troubled client, made new registrations
etc..

any direction would be helpful. Thanks

Have you tried logging the errors to text file?

What errors do you get ?

However, dont read into this as the issue. I take the
same source file and use it on anothe client PC and it
works fine.
