Default DTS Package not running - 10-03-2005 , 01:03 PM

Hi All,

Suddenly I am not able to run any DTS packages through my schedule jobs. I
can run the jobs that does not have DTS package but if the job is DTS package
I cannot run. I can go to DTS and execute the package and it works fine.
Something is out of sink. I have been trying for over a week without any
luck. Please help its getting very frustrating. I need desperate help.
no changes had been made in last several months (to my knowledge) There are
network guys who have access to the server. But no one is speaking.
I am running Microsoft SQL Server 2000 - 8.00.760 (Intel X86) Dec 17 2002
14:22:05 Enterprise Edition on Windows NT 5.0 (Build 2195: Service Pack 4)

Thanks in advance

Andy,

Are the jobs scheduled through SQL Server Agent, or Windows Scheduled Tasks?

If SQL Server Agent, what does the job history say for this job? Any error
messages? To get there:
- Open Enterprise Mgr
- Open desired Server (+) sign
- Management (+)
- Sql Server Agent (+)
- Click Jobs
- Find job in list
- Right click, "View Job History..."
- Check the box "Show Step Details"

My gut instinct is that user permissions/credentials changed. Let us know
how you make out.

Thanks to Allan and you both. I still don't know what the problem was. I
renamed my dts.exe file and then copied the dts.exe file from the other
server and it worked.
Strange that I still don't know what exactly happened. There was absolutely
nothing in the log file. But it works like nothing happended.
