Default DTS package is kicking me out from the designer - 12-19-2003 , 06:01 AM

i have a table called customer. I am trying to export the data in the table to text file. In DTS designer i have selected the server and text file and i have filled all required data. In transform task, in destination tab, clicked on define column button. its showed the columns in the table. clicked populate from source->execute. But it has populated in the destination tab. then if u click on define columns again, it has closed enterprise manager with out giving any record.

I have been facing this probelm from one month. If i do the same operation on my server itself, its working fine.

Not only for this table, we are facing the problem with many other tables.

Please help me.

Dear sir,

Thank u for giving me a solution.

the given article explains the problem in SQL server (sp3).

In our environment we have two servers.

1. Development server (for development and R&D purpose) having (SP2)
2. Live server (Real server) having (sp3).

i am facing this problem in both servers on the same customer table. If it is only on live server (SP3) i can follow that referred article. But i am getting same prob in devpt server also.

Please help me.

Where are you running Enterprise Manager? DTS is client side, so what SP
and fix have you got on the client?
